Entry 100

Well. We’ve reached our centenary. This is the 100th blog entry. Actually I thought I wrote the 100th entry on Wednesday but it seems to have got lost somewhere.

Not sure how we celebrate. Perhaps we could have 100 comments on this blog entry. Maybe I could give £100 to the first £100 people to comment. Maybe 100 readers could give ME £100. Yes, I’ve thought about it and I’ve decided to go with the last suggestion.

We are having a wet spell here which is disrupting the potato harvest. Things have got a bit muddy and we are now going at half the speed that we were at the start of the week.

The new owners have moved into Middlecott House and I am now living with my parents for a week…This is all a bit weird. Radio 1 are playing a lot of old clips this week to celebrate their 40th anniversary and so there are lots of old memories of the late 80′s and early 90′s. Suddenly it’s like being moved back a decade. To make things even weirder I am currently reading “Timequake”, a novel about time shifting back causing people to relive the last ten years of their life.

I spent last weekend packing and reading my old school reports and looking at old press cuttings of me with massive hair in the 80′s and wearing brown doc martins in the 90′s (my favourite pair of shoes that I ever owned). So it’s a real nostalgia fest.

I could write about this for ages because I’m in a very strange place. I don’t mean my parent’s home, I mean a strange place emotionally. It’s probably better to write about this in a diary rather than on here since this will probably be read by three people.

Anyway one advantage of living with my parents is that they serve wine with dinner. It’s a bit like being on an all inclusive package holiday. I don’t know how I’ll resist the temptation of stopping with them and buying that Bentley GT.
